Nyunt Than left Burma 20 years ago due to military oppression. Since then he has been working continuously to bring attention to the brutal military oppression in Burma that has been going on for the past 50 years. Based out of the San Francisco Bay Area and working full time as a software architect, he has lead numerous campaigns, protests and actions calling for the end to military rule in Burma.
Than is the former president and the current Chair of the Burmese American Democratic Alliance (BADA), which he co-founded in 2001 to advocate democracy and freedom for his people.
