Cynthia Gorney

Cynthia Gorney, a former Washington Post reporter who served as the paper's South America bureau chief during the early 1980s, is a contributing writer for National Geographic Magazine, where she often reports from Latin America. She has written for many national magazines, including The New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker, Harper's and Sports Illustrated. Gorney is on the faculty at the UC Berkeley's Graduate School of Journalism.
