We’re asking for your investment in the World Affairs Council of Sacramento.
A glance at a newspaper or viewing TV news only provides the sound bite of the day on world affairs. But the importance of a more fully informed and engaged citizenry has grown as our nation redefines its global role. Living in the capital of the world’s 6th largest economy, international issues affect our lives everyday. Our community needs to engage in thoughtful dialogue on complex and important issues such as Iraq, the war on terror, and the global economy to reach well-informed opinions. The World Affairs Council of Sacramento exists to meet that need.
The World Affairs Council of Sacramento is a non-profit, non-partisan 501(c)3 organization that builds understanding by producing panel discussions that range from The Environment and Energy Security in China and The Global Wine Industry to International Biotechnology and The War in Iraq. Your past financial contributions make what we do possible, and we thank you.
Now, we are asking for your support for the World Affairs Council of Sacramento in 2006. The Sacramento Chapter is enlarging and your contribution is the single most important source of the general operating funds that the Council requires. Through your contributions, the Council educates students, young adults, and our community at large, so they understand the importance of world affairs to our daily lives.
